Open time for breakout sessions, interest group meetings, and birds-of-a-feather or unconference-style conversations. A sign-up sheet will be available at the conference (at the registration desk in the Ballroom Foyer) for volunteers to lead these conversations.

Bring your favorite board games and card games to the hotel lobby and join the Samvera Community for a game night. All are welcome! If you can bring a game to share, please let the organizers know what game(s) you are bringing.

The Science History Institute, a Samvera community participant located two blocks from the conference hotel, would love to welcome you for a behind-the-scenes look with our collections and programs staff. Find out how our museum brings the histories of science to the public. Get a guided look at our library and rare books, our extensive digital archives, and how we use technology to enhance the visitor experience in our museum through oral history listening stations, an interactive touch table and media column, and displays of historic education videos.

Jonathan Rochkind will lead a group to walk from the hotel lobby to the institute at 4:15pm (sharp) on Wednesday, October 25th. You can also meet the group at the Institute (315 Chestnut) at 4:30pm. If you need to drive to the tour, contact Jonathan at least a day in advance at jrochkind@sciencehistory.org to reserve parking.

When: Wed 10/25, 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM (PLEASE ARRIVE BY 4:15)
Where: National Constitution Center - 525 Arch Street (about 0.8 miles from hotel)
Cost: $30 per person

Meet in the lobby at the end of the day to head over to the meeting point. The Constitutional Walking Tour of Philadelphia is an outdoor walking journey that provides a primary overview of the Independence National Historical Park area and visits more than 20 of the most historic sites in America's Birthplace including the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Franklin Court, Betsy Ross House and the National Constitution Center.
